Typography in a small town

My husband and I bought a house in this little town in 2008 because it placed us within a few areas of job opportunities in central Pennsylvania and also allows us somewhat equal access to the two places where we grew up.

We have grown to love this little town and every time I take a walk, run or bike ride I see so many little typography gems that I have been inspired to capture for years. I finally took the time to document some historical buildings and typography examples from this small college town and wanted to provide it as a unique perspective against the city scape and urban signage I see documented a lot. The Annville Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Between historical buildings, small shops and services, and some cute eateries the small mileage offers quite a bit of signage and charm to share.
